You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and should exercise appropriate caution when communicating, sharing information, or arranging to meet another person through the Services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Freemedia is not responsible for the conduct of users outside its reasonable control.

5. Licence to Use the Services

Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, Freemedia grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable licence to access and use the Services for their intended purposes.

This licence does not transfer ownership of any part of the Services to you.

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services.
  • Modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works from the Services.

6. Account Deletion and Closure

You may request deletion of your account through the account-deletion functionality available within the Services or by contacting rachel@tradetotravel.com

When an account-deletion request is processed:

  • Your profile will no longer be publicly accessible.
  • User Content associated with your account may be removed from active systems.
  • Content already copied, shared, reposted, quoted, or independently stored by other users may remain available outside Freemedia’s control. Direct messages deleted using a supported deletion control are removed from the conversation for both sender and recipient, subject to temporary backup or lawful retention requirements.
  • Certain records may be retained where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud, protect users, resolve disputes, or maintain platform security.
  • Residual copies may remain temporarily in secure backup and disaster-recovery systems until overwritten in accordance with our retention practices.
  • Residual backup copies are overwritten through the normal backup rotation, which is currently up to four (4) weeks.

Deleting your account does not automatically remove content that has been copied, shared, reposted, quoted, or independently stored by other users.

You may initiate deletion of your account directly within the Application by navigating to Menu/HomeTab > Settings > Delete Account. The user-facing account is closed immediately. Under the current technical implementation, certain underlying records may remain with the account status changed to reflect deletion or closure, as further described in the Privacy Policy.

Additional information about deletion and retention is provided in our Privacy Policy.

Freemedia may delay completion of an account-deletion request where necessary to comply with applicable law, preserve evidence, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect users, resolve disputes, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Even after the account is deleted, Freemedia may retain limited information where retention is permitted or required by law, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Users are expected to contribute positively to the community and respect the rights, safety, privacy, and dignity of others.

If we become aware that a child has provided personal information without parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided information may contact us to request deletion.

10. Your Responsibilities for Content

You are solely responsible for all User Content that you upload or share.

By posting content, you represent and warrant that:

  • Your content does not infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
  • Your content complies with these Terms and applicable laws.
  • Your content is accurate to the best of your knowledge where factual claims are made.

  • Send spam or unsolicited promotional content.
  • Distribute malicious software.
  • Circumvent platform moderation.

Freemedia reserves the right to restrict messaging functionality where necessary to protect users or the integrity of the Services.

Messages are encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest, but are not end-to-end encrypted.

Freemedia messaging is not an emergency communication service and cannot be used to contact police, ambulance, fire, or other emergency responders. If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services.

13. Content Moderation

Freemedia is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and lawful platform for all users.

14. Reporting Violations

Users may report content, accounts, or behaviour that they believe violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law using the reporting features available within the Services.

Reports should be submitted in good faith and contain accurate information to the best of the reporting user's knowledge. Freemedia actively reviews user reports and aims to begin reviewing user reports within 24 hours.

Users have the ability to block other users at any time within the app. Blocking a user will prevent them from interacting with you, viewing your profile, or seeing your content, and will filter out their content from your feed.

  • Removing content.
  • Restricting platform features.
  • Issuing warnings.
  • Temporarily suspending accounts.
  • Permanently terminating accounts.

Depending on the nature and frequency of the violations, enforcement measures may include:

  • Educational warnings.

APPEALS & ENFORCEMENT POLICY

Effective Date: July 24, 2026

1. Purpose

Freemedia is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and lawful platform.

This Policy explains how we enforce our rules and how users may appeal certain moderation decisions.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy, and Privacy Policy.

2. Enforcement Actions

If content or behaviour violates our policies, Freemedia may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue a warning.
  • Remove content.
  • Restrict access to certain features.
  • Temporarily suspend an account.
  • Permanently terminate an account.
  • Report illegal activity to relevant authorities where required or permitted by law.

The action taken will depend on the severity, frequency, and impact of the violation.

3. Appeals

If you believe that content was removed, visibility was restricted, a feature was disabled, or your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may submit an appeal through the in-app appeal function, where available, or by contacting rachel@tradetotravel.com

Your appeal should include:

  • Your username and account contact information.
  • The content or enforcement action being appealed.
  • The date of the enforcement action, where known.
  • The reason you believe the decision was incorrect.
  • Any relevant supporting information.

Freemedia may review the original content, account history, supporting evidence, applicable policies, severity of the conduct, and any relevant contextual information.

Where reasonably practicable, the appeal may be reviewed by a person who was not solely responsible for the original decision.

Freemedia will notify you of the outcome using the contact information associated with your account or appeal.

Possible appeal outcomes include:

  • Upholding the original decision.
  • Reversing the decision.
  • Restoring content or account access.
  • Reducing or modifying the enforcement action.
  • Requesting further information.

Submission of an appeal does not guarantee that the original decision will be changed. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, Freemedia’s decision following an appeal is final.

4. When Appeals May Not Be Available

Appeals may not be accepted for serious violations involving:

  • Child sexual abuse or exploitation.
  • Child grooming.
  • Terrorism or extremist content.
  • Credible threats of violence.
  • Human trafficking.
  • Court-ordered or legally required content removals.
  • Other serious criminal activity.

In these cases, Freemedia may immediately remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve relevant information, and cooperate with law enforcement or other competent authorities where required or permitted by law.

5. Abuse of the Appeals Process

Users must not misuse the appeals process by submitting false, repetitive, or abusive appeals.

Freemedia may reject such appeals and take additional enforcement action where appropriate.

6. Policy Updates

Freemedia may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or moderation practices. The latest version will always be made available through the Services or our website.

If you have questions about this Policy or wish to submit an appeal where an in-app option is unavailable, please contact: Freemedia Trust & Safety Team, email rachel@tradetotravel.com
